5 Inspirational Quotes For You To Expand Your Horizons This Earth Day

Here at The Coaching Tools Company, we care about the planet. For Earth Day 2021 we've created some brand new inspiring quote images for you - on the theme of expanding our horizons, or the way we think.

Earth Day is always 22 April, and is celebrated worldwide so each of us can show our support for the environment by over 1 billion people! First held in 1970, this event is now in it's 51st year.

What do you do to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle or Repair in your coaching business?

Here's a few of the things we do at The Coaching Tools Company:

• One of the tiny things I personally do, is to use both sides of my post-its! I simply stick used stickies on the back of the pad, then when I get to the end of the pad, I have a whole new pad waiting for me! We also reuse paper that has only been printed on one side.
• We recycle any packaging we can - and cardboard goes into our garden beds to suppress weeds!
• Use recycled paper in our printer (from managed forestry and non-chlorine bleached whenever possible), and recycled bathroom tissues.
• We have organic tea, coffee and milk in the office, and use natural cleaning products without chlorine bleach.
• Turn off screens and lights when we are not at our desks.
• Close doors to minimise heating costs.
• We keep our equipment a long time. We upgrade our PCs for example with new hard drives or processors rather than replace the whole thing. Our cellphones are 4 years old and counting.
• Much of our office furniture (and books) are pre-loved!

Beyond this, I think "saving" the planet also means being kind to ourselves and others. Everyone is more likely to do the "right thing" when we feel safe - and happy. So at The Coaching Tools Company we do our best to be kind to others. We also try to create an upbeat work environment for all our staff, ensure they feel appreciated (because they are) and make generous donations to charities that have meaning for us.

If you work from home - as so many of us coaches do - this means you're not contributing to smog or traffic jams: way to go Coaches!

And of course the work we do at The Coaching Tools Company - in fact the work we ALL do as coaches - IS making the world a better, more conscious place!
